About the Authors
Dr. Martha MacGuffie, Bobby as she prefers, is a retired plastic and reconstructive surgeon and eighty-six year old humanitarian. She was the first woman, reconstructive surgeon, to graduate from Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. MacGuffie is also the founder of S.H.A.R.E., a non-profit organization, with the mission to bring hope and help to the AIDS orphans of Kenya, Africa. A tireless octogenarian, Dr. MacGuffie is a mother of eight, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, friend, animal lover, excellent role model, teacher, and force to be reckoned with. She resides in Rockland County, New York, in the home that she loves with her faithful companion Teddy.
Lynn Cluess Manzione is a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, photographer, writer, volunteer, student, teacher, and since meeting Bobby... evolving into more. She is a promoter of positive role models and the founder of the MacGuffie Foundation, which was created both as a tribute to Dr. Martha MacGuffie, and to honor the memory of the doctor’s sons, Reid, Rob, and Scott.
